Good communication and education are essential to keeping your books accurate and avoiding costly mistakes. I'm here to answer your questions, keep you informed, and make sure you understand what’s happening with your books.
If bookkeeping isn't your thing, hiring a bookkeeper can give you back valuable time and help keep your business finances organized and accurate.
Trying to keep up with your books yourself may seem like the more afforable option, but falling behind can make catching up much more time consuming, and costly, later.
A virtual bookkeeper gives you the support of a bookkeeping professional without the added overhead of hiring an in-house employee.
Outsourcing your bookkeeping can give you back hours you could spend serving your clients, growing your business, or simply spending more time with your family.
My goal is to take bookkeeping off your plate and bring a little more calm and clarity to your business finances.
No worries! You don't have to catch up on your books alone!
I offer catch-up and clean-up bookkeeping as part of the onboarding process for recurring clients. I'll review what needs to be completed, provide you with an estimated cost and timeline, and work with you to get your books back on track.
Once your books are caught up, we'll transition to ongoing bookkeeping to help keep them organized and up=to=date.
I am a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor, and provide monthly and quarterly bookkeeping services using QuickBooks Online.
I work with QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced, as well as Wave Pro and Xero.
Already have a QuickBooks Online, Wave Pro or Xero subscription? Great! You don't need to purchase another one.
If you're new to accounting software, I can help you choose the right software for your business and get everything set up. I can also provide access to available QuickBooks Online discounts when applicable.
No, I am not a CPA. I am a bookkeeper specializing in helping small businesses and nonprofits keep their financial records organized, accurate, and up-to-date.
My role is to handle the day-to-day bookkeeping so you have reliable financial information to help you understand your business/organization and make informed financial decisions.
For tax planning and tax preparation, I recommend working with a qualified tax professional. I’m happy to work alongside your CPA or tax preparer and provide the financial information they need.
No. I do not provide tax preparation or tax filing services.
My job is to keep your books organized and your financial reports up-to-date so they're ready for your tax professional when tax time arrives.
I’m also happy to work directly with your CPA or tax preparer if they have questions about your books or need additional information or adjustments.
Every business is different, and so are its bookkeeping needs. I create a custom, fixed monthly or quarterly rate based on the services your business needs. That way, you’re only paying for the bookkeeping services that make sense for you.
Ideally, yes. I’ll need access to your business bank and credit card accounts to efficiently complete your monthly or quarterly bookkeeping.
Many financial institutions allow you to provide read-only access, which means I can view the information I need without having access to move or withdraw your money.
Providing account access helps keep your bookkeeping efficient and your fees affordable, and it means you won't have to remember to send me statements every month.
If I don't have access to your bank, credit card or merchant accounts, I'll need you to provide your statements each month.
I may also reach out with questions about transactions that need clarification. I'll send those questions by email as early in the month as possible so you have time to respond.
The sooner I receive the information I need, the sooner I can complete your books and provide your reports. My goal is to have your books completed by the 15th of the month, as long as I have everything I need from you.
Please keep me in the loop if you:
Open a new bank account or credit card
Change banks or credit card accounts
Take out a new business, auto, or equipment loan
Accidentally use your business account to pay for a personal expense
Pay for a business expense using personal funds
Make any other significant changes to your business finances
Keeping me informed helps ensure your books stay accurate and up to date.
My rates are based on the time required to complete your bookkeeping and the cost of your QuickBooks subscription (when applicable).
As your business grows or your bookkeeping needs change, your rate may need to be adjusted. For example, an increase in the number of transactions, accounts, or financial activity may require additional bookkeeping time. An increase in your QuickBooks Online subscription cost may also affect your rate.
If a rate adjustment is needed, you will receive written notice by email before the new rate takes effect. Your rate will never be increased without your knowledge and approval.
